There is something about...Mary.
The showpiece of this Holland collection is Mary . Named after Mary Stuart the wife of King William III. She was a true influencer in her time (1662-1695) and was often found in the botanical garden of her Palace Het Loo . In these gardens she collected a rich collection of plants and objects from all over the world.
I based the design of this collection on, among other things, the beautiful garden vases that she had made to order by the porcelain factory in Delft, the symmetry of the baroque garden and I also incorporated the many exotic flowers and plants into these designs.
